At an event I stay discreet: I move around without getting in the way, catching conversations, reactions and spontaneous moments without ever freezing the atmosphere. A good reportage often comes down to that light presence.
I stay alert, anticipating the key moments, the speech, the toast, an award being handed over so that none of them is missed. And because nothing replaces authenticity, I favour natural light wherever possible, for images that feel true and warm.
